Can anyone tell me what ks level a raw score of 24/40 in the 2008 maths A (non calculator) level 3-5 paper would equate to?

Level 4, the tests are not designed to give sub-levels. This is 60%, 75-80% for a level 5.

Levels are stated for one paper - it does not work like that.

Mark scheme is here for 2008 Maths SATs - and level thresholds (combined, not per paper) are

Code: Select all

Level Mark range
N 0-14
2 15-17
3 18-44
4 45-77
5 78-100

Unfortunately it is the only mark he knows. He sat papers a and b at school (not entirely sure why) but didnt do the mental maths. I am just curious as his last report level was a 3c which seemed low.

Due to all the changes surrounding Sats and level thresholds ... do the above level mark ranges still apply or have they changed?

They slightly different each year - those were for 2008. Have a look here for 2013.
