I don't think (or at least I hope) our school made a conscious decision to drop science in year 6, it's probably more the case of getting so focused on the new maths and English curriculum that they simply run out of time to do science...It felt like I hit rock bottom; suddenly, there was knocking from beneath... (anon.)
