Just the latest would best help your case. (I'm assuming that's what the head is doing too?)

Will the fact that DD is very strong in Maths and Science (top 10% of year) but not in English cause us problems? She got below average marks in her end of yr 5 exams, while excelling at the other 2! Does being good at English help pass the 11+? We know she would have struggled with some questions because of her vocabulary (lack of?).
Will the Panel see it in a bad light if we mention this?

Not necessarily - it could be useful as an extenuating circumstance, and help explain why the 11+ score wasn't a bit higher.

Thanks Etienne, should we use this as our extenuating circumstance?

Yes, but without labouring the point and making mountains out of molehills. You don't want to give the impression of just coming up with 'excuses'. I think it would be sufficient to point out that she is particularly strong on the Maths/Science side, and let the panel draw their own conclusions.

They may still ask 'Can you think of any reason why she might have underperformed on the day?' - in which case you simply reply 'We're really not sure. She is much stronger on the Maths/Science side ......'

Hi Shelly8

Nothing in the Appealsbox? Would you like to try again?

Or did you send a Forum Private Message to me. (Nothing there either, I'm afraid!)
