Hello, D.B.

Some encouraging indicators, but nothing is guaranteed!

What level is predicted for Science?

Do you have any CAT scores and reading ages from previous years?

Do you know many pupils qualified in your year? (it gives a context for 4th/34.)

What was the head's recommendation (e.g. a "1", "2" or "3")?

Regards

In Science my predicted level is also 5.

CAT scores and reading ages from Year 4 was:
Reading 4a, Written 3b, Maths 4b. Reading age of 11.3, Spelling age 10.9

27 boys passed out of 34 that's around 80%

head's recommendation was:
Academic potential Grade 1 and Attitude to Work Grade 2.

I am going to bed now so I look forward to reading your response tomorrow - goodnight.

Hello again, D.B.

The year 4 results are not CATs but curriculum tests. I was wondering if you had another CAT VR score, perhaps higher than the 118. Never mind. The KS2 predictions are all good, and you have two consistent high reading ages.

4th/34, in the context of 27 qualifying, sounds very good.

I can't be sure without seeing exactly what the headteacher has written, and studying his order of suitability
(if the boys who qualified were mostly those ranked 1-3 and 5-27, that will help your case),
- but it seems to me that you do have a good chance.

The best of luck
