Re: appeal query
We too hadn't had the coaching that is in evidence in many & the appeal felt like it was just a formality. Any mitigating circumstances weren't even touched upon & the fact he was consistently good in all areas of his schoolwork was ignored. Good luck with your appeal. We don't hold out much hope in ours.
Re: appeal query
Thanks for your reply bungeeful. I don't hold up much hope too. But it does not stop us from trying still. What school have you appealed for? I think the waiting is the hardest part. Good luck
Re: appeal query
We had the outcome of our appeal & it was as expected, we didn't win which was no surprise. I'm hoping he'll be happy at his new school & he's handled the news with a mature attitude. I must say one thing that did surprise me in the rejection letter received was the class sizes at GS of 31.
Re: appeal query
Welcome to our world.... there seems to be lots of members getting a 'no' Sorry it wasn't what you had hoped but you sound like you have a great attitude and will support DS in his new school so he is bound to do well
Money can't buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.
Re: appeal query
Thanks guys for the response. The outcome was a no, as I thought, due to the oversize and it would be prejudice to admit my DS to the school, as I thought it would say.
MY DS is looking forward to going to the new school, it just means that we need to do a lot of cut backs now.

Re: appeal query
sorry to hear both appeals not upheld recently. I wish you both lots of luck with future decisions and you know you did your best and your children will do well with your backing. Sending big hugs and try and relish getting your life back after all the prep work for the appeal!
