my daughter missed the pass mark by 1& is dreadfully upset.she was predicted a good pass & achieved between 85-95% in practice papers which were completed under exam conditions.her h/teacher felt she is def grammar school material worthy of a place & submitted a case for a review decision.we recd letter in january advising that decision remains unchanged.i telephoned bexley borough 3 wks ago asking if there is any further i can go & was told there is not.the lady did tell me I could request to see my daughters papers tho & i then wrote to bexley asking for this.they still haven't replied nor have they responded to my email sent 3 days ago.my son attends g/school & knowing the pace & level they need to work at there is no doubt in my mind that my daughter could cope.she is in talented & gifted for both maths & english & is usually in top 4 for class tests.this seems so unfair, any suggestions/advice?

Welcome.

Have you seen the Q&As?
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeals

Having had a review, it's possible that this might limit the scope of any appeal:

You will need to check with the admission authority of the school you're interested in to find out what their policy is regarding a review (i.e. could it restrict the sort of case you can ask to be considered at appeal?).

If they haven't replied to your email within a week, you could telephone them to enquire what's happened. Alternatively - if you've had enough! - you could send a complaint to their complaints department, or (assuming you're a local resident) ask your local councillor to help.

have received email from bexley saying i can view answer sheet but not question sheet as it suject to a confidentiality agreement - anyone know if this is right or what it means?
They are entitled to keep the contents of the question paper confidential, and this may be an agreement between them and the test provider. Legally, they don't even have to allow you access to the answer paper - this is something they choose to do at their discretion.
