Second round allocations

I have been waiting to receive a letter regarding the second round of allocations only to discover we have not even been offered one school place. Feeling very frustrated with the whole process. At the initial allocation we were not offered any of our six choices, & we now have not been offered any alternatives. We have two appeal dates that are going to cause us problems with work arrangements & a child who is very upset that the majority of her friends already have places to go & she does not. Any advice as we are very concerned we may not get a place by September & if we don't what happens next.

The LA is under an obligation to provide a school place for September, but will probably wait for the outcome of appeals.

Lookinglass,
So sorry to hear you're still going through what it feels endless process with allocations. I have followed your past threads and fully understand how exhausting the waiting game and uncertinity are.

Just in case you have not seen the link in below post, it may be useful to give you an idea which schools may be available in Bucks:

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 12&t=19840" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Although the data there is just a snapshot from late Feb 2011 you may still be able to find out from Admissions as to what the current state is and update waiting lists choices accordingly for next round. Good luck with your pursuit!

Thanks so much for your replies. We have our appeal for one school during the beginning of May let's hope our luck changes.
