Post subject: what are our chances?

Our daughter was predicted high 130s and got VR137, NVR137 and maths 114. No idea what happened. Is it worth appealling to both grammars we selected - one is a score-based selection school (which her combined score is still high enough for) and the other just requires a 11+ pass. thank you

what area are you in?

did you know that the headteacher can make an appeal on your behalf,
if this score was unexpected, and if this fails you can appeal yourself.

Also you should be able to get the next predicted key stage result from your headteacher, which may show that this was only a minor blip.

Out of interested what type of school have the council said they want your child to attend now.

We are in Kent and have been offered a good local comprehensive but feel she should do better in a more academic environment. We have full backing from her headteacher who is as taken aback as we are!
