Should I Appeal?

Re: Should I Appeal?
If you are sure that it is the right school for your child, I would always advise you to appeal.
My DS did not pass the 11+ but we were convinced that the GS was the right place for him. We were successful at appeal, and were still quite nervous when he first went there - worrying that perhaps we may have been wrong and he might not cope.
For the first two years he was "middling," but really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and environment. From Year 9 he absolutely skyrocketed, got great GCSE results, brilliant AS levels and has an interview at Cambridge in December.
The moral of this tale - you know your child......have confidence, gather your evidence and go for it! Those of you who know me will also know that I have appealed for each of my three children (twice for the other two ) totalling 5 appeals - we were successful twice.
Even if you are not successful life will turn out fine, - you are a supportive parent and I'm sure your DS will do just fine with your help.
All the very best
