11+ Appeal Letter
Hi,
I'm struggling with format of appeal letter.
My child got 119 and 117.
We got a 2;1 recommendation from headteacher with a good write up too.
We moved our child from state sector to independent in January 2001 due to issues in state school so lots of turmoil this year.
Does initial letter carry a lot of weight for appeal or is the interview more important.
Kind Regards

No, not really.Does initial letter carry a lot of weight for appeal
It's the evidence and the Question & Answer session that matter.or is the interview more important.
Good luck!

Thank you for your prompt response.
I'll follow on later with other pertinent evidence and prepare for the interview.

Dear Both,
Many thanks for your excellent work
I wondered if I could forward my appeal letter to you if you'll have time to read it. I wanted your opinion on whether that should be my statement or I need another one. I could also send our headteachers recommendation.
I was also not clear as to the format as it says The case for the admitting authority. Is this where they state their case and do we state our case where it says the case for the parent/carer
kind regards

Sorry, maroko, we will try and help with any specific questions, but we don't normally have time to check statements, presentations etc.I wondered if I could forward my appeal letter to you if you'll have time to read it. I wanted your opinion on whether that should be my statement or I need another one.
Guidance about the Appeals Box is set out here: http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... =35&t=9907" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you covered everything in your original submission, then it would be best to give a very short presentation, just highlighting very briefly the main points. Please note that we cannot normally deal with wide-ranging or open-ended questions such as "We've emailed our case - what do you think of it?" or "We've sent you a copy of our draft appeal letter - please comment."

Yes, that's right. Don't worry - the chair of the panel will guide you through the proceedings.I was also not clear as to the format as it says The case for the admitting authority. Is this where they state their case and do we state our case where it says the case for the parent/carer
If we can help with any further specific questions, please post them here.
