The GS has a very good academic reputation, big on sports and is a speciality music college too. My argument is based on these – it specialises and excels in all the areas my son does. Yes DS has passes in graded music exams.

I think that's great if the school has a music specialism if your DS is musical. Many children would have some sort of grades, but I think Etienne meant were they particularly noteworthy!

Oh yes I see - Grade 5 and grade 2. Also very musical child as offered music scholarship so putting the offer in as proof.

Yes, I agree.

I think the level 5 is very helpful at two levels:
1. It shows a remarkable talent at age 10/11
2. It also shows academic ability (because of the theory involved).

I am pleased that we don't have to go through with the appeal now.
