Re: Oversubscription Appeal
Hi,
I submitted my appeal letter and evidence on 30th April as that was the deadline. I have been given my appeal date - beginning of July!!! So long to wait
They have two dates set aside in May for hearings and then one in July. I presume they cannot make any decisions on the May batch until ones in July heard. Why would the school want to wait for so long in between dates?
This has meant I have had time to think of a couple of extra bits I could have added in as evidence. Should I send them in now even though the deadline has been. Is there another date which is so many days before the hearing date till which I should be allowed to submit any additional evidence?
Or should I just bring along on the day to show then.
It is not a new line of "attack" but just some more info to back up one of the points I have raised.
Thankyou!
MM

Re: Oversubscription Appeal
It would probably be more 'normal' to have the main batch of appeals in May, and then a completely separate batch for late appeals in July. They have two dates set aside in May for hearings and then one in July. It's not impossible that they're all part of the main batch, however. Ultimately, dates depend on when the panel members are available.
If this is so, then all decisions ought to be taken at the very end.
If I were you, I'd check with whoever is organising the appeals whether or not you're part of the main batch.
I'd also query the deadline for evidence for the July hearings. I can't see why there should be the slightest problem sending in evidence a couple of weeks before your July date.

Thanks Etienne,
I will check tomorrow and hopefully they are all part of the same batch and no mistake has been made.
Thanks for advice
