Successful appeal, Thanks for your support

Hi all

Just got a letter today to say that we have been successful in our appeal to get our son into grammar school.

. He passed the eleven plus but the school was oversubscribed and we had tried (and failed) to beat the system with tactical preferencing.

.

It has been a very emotional day and the end of a time of great stress and worry.

Thanks to all on this site for making me feel welcome and giving support and advice. I needed you.

I am still keeping my fingers crossed for some of you still going through the process, I will not forget thee friends that I have made here and will continue to visit to see how you get on.

The champagne is open...........

Congratulations! So great to read good news - and on the over subscription front too. I have to confess that I am now petrified! But your story has at least made me smile. Thank you for sharing - it might be so easy to disappear but you had the grace to bring the joy to us to share.

I am so pleased to hear someone has been successful, I am really happy for you, well done, it must feel fantastic. How did your child react? Did he know you went to appeal?
