Thanks Alex. I think historically the particular school has not upheld many non qual (and subsequently over subs) appeals so at least I know I am going in with my eyes wide open. I know of a member who had a great academic ability case when they were appealing last year, eg on target for level 6's, support from school, proof they could be in Mensa etc ect. Wasn't upheld. Seems if you don't pass on the day, irrespective of reasons why, or indeed that the mark wasn't a true reflection of the child's ability then it's just tough. Maybe is me being a bit cynical. Hoping her 3 other GS passes may bear some weight and perhaps the special circumstances she had, but am even doubtful of that.
We shall see. Anyway, we could have another appeal on my hands if she doesn't get allocated any of the other GS's, on the bright side at least it would only be the over subs we would be appealing on in those.
