What should we have received so far

We are in the Gloucestershire CC area and last Friday I logged on to their system and found out the school DD2 had been allocated. I accepted on there and stated that we would be appealing. I received confirmation that this had been done.

Some of our friends have received an actual e-mail giving them the details which they then accepted and also a paper copy which gave details of how to apply for reconsideration etc...

Worried that we are missing something and will therefore lose the right to make an appeal.

Don't worry - you cannot lose the right to an appeal.

You must be given at least 20 school days from the date of notification that your application was unsuccessful to prepare and lodge a written appeal - but even if you were to miss that 'deadline', you could still appeal! :)

Thanks Etienne

I have spoken to someone at Glos CC who confirmed I should have received a letter as we did not receive 1st choice school. She advised me to send an e-mail confirming that we would like reconsideration and I've done this and had acknowledgement.
