Hi All,

I have a question regarding in year appeal. If the year group for which someone is appealing has highest number compared to other year group(All year group are oversubscribed) , does that mean there are less chance of success of appeal?

Thanks,

Not necessarily. I wouldn't have thought the other numbers are going to be of much interest.

Numbers in each class (or set) in the relevant year group are what usually matters.

At the appeal you can ask what hard evidence they have of not coping successfully with extra numbers.

Ultimately it's a balancing exercise for the panel - is the school case as a whole so strong that it outweighs your case for wanting a place?
