Essex appeal date - can anyone confirm?

The paperwork says appeals should be lodged 20 days from date of school offer letter - that makes it 21st March (tomorrow), but the Essex school admission website says 29th. (CRGS also told me 29th). My appeal is ready to post tomorrow (been waiting for medical reports which still haven't arrived), but am now worried that 21st is cut off date! Mine will arrive 22nd. Aargh - which date is correct?

The rule is that you must be allowed at least 20 school days.

If their website says the 29th, it has to be the 29th - although I note it's Good Friday!

(Even if you were to be a bit late, it probably wouldn't matter. It's not like the CAF form!)

Phew thank you - had an email from Gt Ormond St tonight saying letter is on its way, so I won't rush to send the appeal letter tomorrow. I'd rather send all the paperwork together, rather than having to send medical reports on later.

Thanks for your help.

Glad to be of assistance. :)

The Code of Practice specifically refers to what's on their website - so, if you comply with that, I can't see how you can be faulted.
2.1 Admission authorities must set a timetable for organising and hearing appeals that:
a) includes a deadline for lodging appeals which allows appellants at least 20
school days
from the date of notification that their application was unsuccessful
to prepare and lodge their written appeal;

2.2 Admission authorities must publish their appeals timetable on their website by 28
February each year.
