Brilliant news. As Tolstoy says more evidence of a system that is very unfair and more evidence that appealing 12+ can be well worth the effort. Well done! I know elk myself how stressful the journey is.

Thank you eccentric and Tolstoy. DD is so very, very happy after her first week, all inspired and fired up, and there's no doubt she's hugely fortunate to be in a remarkable school. With one failed 12+ appeal, we're acutely aware of, and grateful for, our good luck (and of course the support of this forum).

I've had to deal this week with my boss challenging me about why an old leftie like me was so keen to have her in a GS! This old leftie is now also disability-aware, and more convinced than ever that selection at 11 is destructive and unnecessary.
