hi im new to this forum and after some help.

My son was 1 mark off his entrance exam and we are going to local review which needs to be done in next 2 weeks

His school are going to give us a letter of support.

His year 5 levels were writing 4a+, reading 5b and maths 5b+. I know he is currently working at level 6 in maths so hoping to use academic ability as a strong part of the review.

Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome.

Is this a Bucks review?

I'm doubtful whether the review panel can give the matter any weight if there's nothing definite yet.
The best solution, if it's possible, would be for the current school to mention it in a letter or report. (It would be better coming from them than from you.)

I can't recall a problem with Trafford before, but you ought to check whether a review might affect your your right to an independent appeal.

Do you think it would go against him if school mentioned him being assessed?
I don't think so. :)
Im just not sure how to get this point over
All these points (usually does well at NVR, bit of a perfectionist, about to have an assessment, etc.) are better coming from the school.
Anything they say is likely to be considered as hard evidence. You, on the other hand, won't be viewed as 'independent'.
