Re: 12+ appeal
I guess it must be difficult for a school to admit they can't cope with an able child. OFTED keeps criticising comprehensives for precisely this.

Re: 12+ appeal
Eccentric - I think that i going back too far. Focus on KS2 levels (do you know sub levels/marks) and the levels she is working at now. Do you have her end of Year 6 report?
Re: 12+ appeal
I think there's (a) a progress chart going from Y2 up to current & predicted levels, (b) a space for other attainments (e.g. CAT scores), and (c) the headteacher's recommendation for academic potential and attitude (e.g. a 2:1).Eccentric wrote:Hi Etienne,
Can you please tell me what the 3 criteria are that the Headteachers of Primary schools are asked to give on the form sent out for review? I am going to try asking DD's school for those as they are not being very co-operative. Even refusing to expedite her school report. So all I have at present is spring reviews.
I think there are 3 numbers aren't there?
Many thanks
Remember, though, that this form was specifically designed for a selection review, where (according to reports we've had of stage 1 hearings) the SRP are keen to look for consistent progress from Y2 onwards.
This form would also be of interest to an appeal panel (for Y7 entry), although I suspect they might prefer to focus more on recent progress (say, Y5 onwards).
If appealing for Y8 entry, my advice would normally be not to go further back than Y6.
Hope this helps.
