I posted this in 'Kent' before realising that it should go here!

Hi I have put in an appeal to Highworth but am very nervous about it and my daughter desperately wants to go there as all her friends are going there.

Her scores were:

Maths 104
English 120
Reasoning 112
Total 336

So she missed maths by 2 points but her combined score was 16 over the pass mark.

I sent a letter and also a letter of support from the school. I am awaiting my appeal date now and our current head teacher has said she will attend with me. The thing is I go to pieces in situations like this and am unsure if I did enough in my letter and whether the supporting data is strong enough.

Year 5 Cats - Quantitive 97, VR 115, NVR 114

Year 5 (op Sats) maths 4c, Reading 5b, writing 4b, science 3a

Year 6 (predicted) Maths 5b, Reading 5a/6, writing 5c, science 5

I feel we have a great backup in that we have a place at Folkestone Girls Grammar (daughter passes Shepway test) but my daughters heart is set on Highworth. Does anyone have advise or experience of appeals at this school? and what to expect at the hearing.

Thanks

All appeals are similar.

Have you seen the Q&As?
