Hello,
DD could not make a grammer school in her last 11+so we want her to sit for the 12+.
I searched the websites for 12+ exam but nothing came up,only in year admission.
Please is this the same as the 12+ or it's different?
And who conduct the exam, school or council?

Where are you? It will vary according to area. Some do not have 12+ entry.

I think you previously posted about your DD taking the Kent test? Kent doesn't have a formal point of entry to its schools in year 8 (?only Buckinghamshire does), so yes, the only way would be to apply for an in-year place.

Mind you, this only seems to mention the procedure for applying when your child has not previously taken the Kent Test, not where s/if has taken it and failed.
