Marling Gloucester appeal

Hi everyone I have spend the last few days frantically reading and reading but do have a few question.
My son sat the late test in March and we had his results through Thursday saying he had ranked in the 300 and upto ranking 350 was offered a place and the detail have been passed for reconsideration/reallocation
I am putting together our appeal as I have no idea what this means but I have been told that he won't be offered a place due to over subscription.
My appeal would be in the basis of the fact that he qualified but the school is over subscribed.
Can anyone help me:
Should I explain my reasons for why we sat the late test?
Should I get academic evidence regarding my sons abilities?
The schools are closed until the 11th so I will have very little time to get the requirement documents but will this be sufficient:
Sat predicated scores maths 5b/ English 5c
Head letter
Deputy head letter as head is new or find preoccupation head mistress letter
Class teacher letter
Any missing anything?
Also explain why we are picking this school for my son?

You don't need to send all the documentation with the initial letter. You can write 'supporting documentation to follow' on it and supply the rest later. As long as they get it a few weeks before the appeal and in time to circulate it you will be fine.

Thank you just to check if I send the actual letter detailing my reason for appeal can I then send the support documents after the deadline as long a si mention that evidence is to follow?

Have you read this? A7 deals with submission of evidence

I would check with the school/LEA. Ours says that evidence received after x date might not be considered in the appeal.
