Bucks selection review suggestions

Hi ,

We are looking to apply Bucks 11+ selection review for my son, missed the cutoff score by 2.

We had spoken to school headteacher to find out school feedback.

HT suggested us to go for review, happily issued rating letter with 2:2.

we would like to know if any candidate with successful review been managed GS seat in Bucks.

Appreciate if you can share relevant forum posts or any stats in bucks website and guide me on SR letter Do/Don'ts.

I am looking to know any success stories from review to GS allocations in the forum or

I'm not sure that any such statistics are kept, because all that matters at the allocation stage would be (a) qualified status, and (b) the oversubscription criteria (which for Y7 entry do not include the score).

A successful review would have exactly the same status as a score of 121 ..... or 131 ....... or 141 ....... etc.

If qualified, then distance from the school is more likely to be an issue!

What levels has the HT recorded for Y2 to Y5 and what are the KS2 predictions?

We are outside bucks, predicted y6 results are on target to to exceed for reading,maths and writing on target

OK so the HT recommendation was completed after the results which makes it less useful.

What about the levels? The review will look at progression from KS1.

Did you read the resources Etienne pointed you towards? There is a sample letter for appeal that can be adapted.

Do check you are near enough to a GS to get a place if the review is successful.
