>> My Son has a God's given right to attend a school that can provide him with a good education.

A very worried mum, I am afraid I disagree with this, as would most people if they are honest. Everyone "should" have the right to a good education, it is whether you can find a school that provides this that is causing so much heartache.

I wish you all the best

Dearest Pooodle,

You have confirmed exactly what it was I was trying to express - English is my second language and sometimes............ I clearly require a little "assistance".

Thank you and I could not agree more.

And if anyone has any advice with regards to transfer appeals in Bucks, I would be forever grateful.

Is this a personal appeal such as the 11+ appeal or is it more to do with numbers, distance to school etc? I am really not entirely sure!

AVWM -

In a transfer appeal you have to show why your child need THAT school - base it on your child's aptitudes e.g. strong in science if a science specialism.
There can be transport issues or preference for single-sex/mixed. Anything you can think of really!

Dear AVWM

The Q&As sections C1-2 explain the two-stage process of appealing for an oversubscribed school. It's not exactly light reading :D, but have a look at C2a in particular.
