Should we appeal

As TotpotPink posted on another thread yesterday unfortunately we were not successful in our appeal.
Just for the record the 11+ score was 117/116 and the rating 3,1.
Most of the teachers comments were fair as far as I can judge - but we did think the head teachers final comment of 'we believe the score of 117 is a true reflection of VR ability' was unneccessary and unhelpful. She might as well have just said ' in our opinion not suitable for Grammar school'. Needless to say that particular HT wont be on our Christmas card list for next year.....
As this is our youngest child we wont be back on this excellent forum again, but we would both like to thank all the posters for sharing such excellent information. Without the content here we would not have had a clue as to what to expect and what the panel were looking for.
Reading through this forum also gave us a realistic view of what the outcome was likely to be, and it was helpful to know that we werent the only ones going through all the stress.
Anyway now to move on. Oldest son has his GCSE's this year and having spent most of the weekend going over his physics p4,p5,p6 - again we've got our work cut out. It never ends.
We'll certainly be back on the 12+ forum next year but hopefully not the appeals section
...
