Can anyone tell me about how appeals go for Buckingham? TIA.
Hello. Our appeal is this week.
I am preparing our speech now and would be grateful for any advice.
My son's score was 109 both times but he had a bad ear infection on the day of the second test and therefore had to delay taking it until 3 days later.
Headteacher supports with a 1 for attitude and 2 for academic ability.
Predicted Level 5 SATS
I have a letter from the head and class teacher
I have some school work (chosen by teacher)
I have his last report "A joy to teach" amongst other nice comments
Can anyone else tell me what questions we are likely to be asked? Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
I am aware that 109 is a low score and our chances aren't good.

Good luck for your appeal this week.
You will certainly be asked about the ear infection. Was he fit on the re-arranged day? (If not, why was he allowed to sit the test?)
Have you read the Q&As, B7, B27?

Thank you Etienne, I'm very grateful, will read those now.
I really do think in our case he just didn't do that well on the day but all the academic evidence really does show that he is gs material.
But I am so daunted and worried I can't even begin to get my thoughts down in speech form. And I am usually a very coherent writer!

Hi, have just read your post amongst all the others. I have missed it on my various trawls through! I hope your appeal goes/went well. I read your comment about starting your speech and could not agree more. I am at a complete loss too! What a lot rests on our ability to get it right! Please let uis know how you get on.
