My head is saying she is not sure she can support an appeal for oversubscription - such a shame, does anyone else have any ideas how to get academic evidence to support an appeal - this is for a partially selective school,

Dear Rover

The head of the school being appealed for cannot - by law - support individual appeals, but there is no legal reason why the current headteacher cannot provide support.

It's just possible the policy of the LA may be to discourage this.

As you've seen in another thread, you do have right of access to your child's school record.

Does anyone have any experience of appealing to schools such as Dame Alice Owen in Herts? This is partially selective, has a specialism entrance criteria and criteria for siblings. What sort of appeal could you make - a general appeal
that covers non-qualification for academic selection and specialism and oversubscription? The head has said she'll support in general terms.
