Hi, I'm thinking about getting The Tutors Vol 1 Download for VR (although I would rather a CD was available, luddite that I am). I had a look at the free trial and am stumped by the first reading information question. It seems to me that there is no correct answer and that the answer given as being correct is no more correct than another choice. Could be that it's late and I'm tired and completely wrong, though!

Question:

Mary had a vase of flowers. There were tall blue flowers with green leaves and small thorns, small red flowers with silver leaves, pink flowers with no leaves or thorns and purple flowers with red and silver leaves.

Only one of the following statements is true.

A. The pink flowers had silver leaves
B. Only the red flowers were small
C. Only the blue flowers had thorns
D. The purple flowers only had silver leaves
E. The pink flowers had no leaves but did have small thorns

A, D and E can be discounted quickly but it seems to me that there is insufficient information to say whether B or C is true. With regard to B, it is perfectly possible that the pink and/or purple flowers were also small, and with regard to C, equally possible that the red and/or purple flowers had thorns.

Help! I'm now at the stage where I keep looking at it and am getting nowhere!
