Our son sat the 11 plus this time last week and from what I can find out he seems confident. He's a bright lad and doing well at school. I understand though that the scores from the exam are adjusted according to age to account for younger and older children. Our son has a November birthday so does anyone have any information on how the system works and by how much our son's score will be reduced, when compared to a July birthday for example? Any information is appreciated!

Cheers.

There are some discussions for age standardisation in Warks

Marks are not technically added or deducted- it is a statistically complex equation to rank the % scores, taking account of age. The simplest way to envisage this, is that within the exam your DC is in a mini competition with November children.
