Our DS has been offered a place at LSS :P
It is great news.
Hope everyone else who is still waiting, gets the school of their choice and best wishes to those who are yet to face the challenges ahead.
Allocation really can feel like a lottery..
No scores yet.
Thoughts are with all parents out there.

Congratulations Serenity! :D

Our DS did not pass the Warks exam but has passed for King Edwards which was our second choice. He is really pleased and we are really proud of him :D

Good luck to everyone else out there!

Congratulations CEA100. I am intrigued that your son passed and got into a Bgham KEGs, but not into LSS. I had always thought it was easier to get into LSS. Any thoughts from other posters.........PS, why KEGs did he get into?

HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS to you CEA100 and your DS!

The qualifying score for KE was higher than for LSS. Followed by SG and AG. Optimist you are eagle eye correct!!

Irrespective of scores, a great achievement by all children and parents.. :)

Our first choice was Alcester Grammar as this is our closest grammar but more importantly for us, our DD already attends (making the school run logistics easier!)

We have sent an email request to Birmingham asking for further detail on his score/ranking as we are unsure of why he seemingly underperformed in the Warks exam (though they are much more cagey than Warks regarding this info). Maybe he felt more pressurised on that day???

Either way, we are really proud of him and are sure he will be really happy at Five Ways.

Hello and congratulations to all of those who have obtained the school of their desire! This takes me back to last year when we found out our son hadn’t achieved a place at LSS but had passed the 11 plus and hence the appeal process and eventual success.

If anyone is in the same boat I /we can offer a great deal of free advice and top tips, which may well prove to be successful. I/ we know what you are going through but please don’t give up the appeal process is very straight forward.

Thanks for this information I have been searching for it. Our DS2 has just been offered LSS our first choice so we are over the moon. :D

Why is the LO Area 1 score for RHS so much lower than that for LSS is it down to the number of girls taking the 11+ this year compared to boys?

Also I was under the impression that Ashlawn were offering more places this year (90 instead of the usual 30) am I wrong?
