I will be grateful for some advice. We live in lutterworth which I think is area 1. My DS has scored 330 out of 483. Does he stand a chance of admission at LSS?

Somebody mentioned that if you live in area 1 the cutoff was 338 which made me worried.

Actually the lowest offer last year in area 1 last year was 339 so I guess that at 330 we have no hope for LSS? Can somebody add to this?

To guarantee a place, just play the system. Move in or rent a place for few months to qualify for the inner area and you guarantee a place. £500x6 months = £3000 cost and perfectly legal. Lots of people will do it this year.

Playing the system is the ethos of LSS. Average GCSEs is over 15 per child = more points = top of GCSE tables. They are not mostly A or A* either. I would say 10As is better than 5As and 10Bs. But with the new EB tables, LSS is nowhere to be seen.

Play within the rules to get what you want.

There are more places this year, so the score will be lower.

My daughter got 378.. We r in Lutterworth area... She is ranked 41.. The letter said she is 3 in eastern area girls?. What does This result mean.? I was quite happy in the morning, now getting nervous about her chanced of securing a place at RHS...can anyone help and advice?

she will be fine for RHS needs to be in top 60 minimum to get a place so no probs. Well done
