Logged on to website as couldn't bear to wait any longer!

DS got offered a place at AGS with 322 (first choice was KES because that was his favourite but we knew he wouldn't get a place )

So happy and relieved.

DS scored 310 inner circle and was ranked 101 and gained place at LSS. If 120 places on offer that could mean that there are still places left to fill?

Appreciate that there may have been other children who scored 110 (will see if I can dig out figures from results sheet) and also need to take account of those offered at lowest score of 109 but would imagine that there will be places left unfilled for appeals.

RHS AQS 310 and offered lowest score of 300.

If you look at the historical scores for LSS and RHS you'll see that they have a funny habit of being exactly the same! So it's quite possible that they're quoting 310 because that's the actual score for LSS, but actually offering to lower scores too for RHS.

Dd2 has been offered a place at RHS with score of 315 if that's useful. Very pleased - she knows but I haven't seen her, she left for school before I was home!

So 326 was great for AGS and we have a very happy family tonight, thanks for all the info over the last few months.

Sorry if it is elsewhere but KES was Number 1 on Preference list and we are 18th on Waiting List - What Chance with people choosing B'ham schools / Independents and when does this settle down so we know if we stand a chance ?
