Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
Is this CEM similar to the Bucks CEM?
Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
Maybe. Maybe not. Bucks and Bexley are both new CEM exams this year - so nobody really knows. Bexley is also a multiple choice/machine readable answer sheet format though, so it could be similar.

Thank you for sharing.
Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
Do children get extra time to read the comprehension passage before the test begins, or does the timing given include the time needed to read the passage and answer questions on it?
Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
The timing for the section includes reading the comprehension passage.
Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
Thanks Okanagan, that is pretty tough.
Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
Thanks again Okanagan - DS really enjoyed the challenge! He did well, but the it showed up a suprising weakness that we can now practice

Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
It is quite strange, but this paper does not generate any discussion about content in bucks or bexley.
In bucks there seems to be a strict rule that the practice / prep test cannot go on the web. It is done in schools two days before the real thing, but not marked and does not go home. In bexley it is just sitting there on the website.
Bucks and bexley can only contain multiple choice questions. Bucks is to select approx top 25 to 30 per cent of the population.
Quite how indicative it is of question types and level of difficulty in the real thing I do not know.
Do you have this business of a familiarisation paper and a prep/practice test? When and how does it happen?

Re: Pssst - want to see some CEM style questions?
Warwickshire just gets a very brief familiarisation sheet and no practice test.
