As per comments on Bham thread, the train is also a future consideration, from Olton you could always drop at acocks green or hall green.

Train will definitely be an option once DS gets used to the travel.

Train is a good option, lots of kids for KES/SGGS catch it along the route but best make it Hall Green for the drop as the Acocks Green train is no good for school hours.

Thanks kongo1959, Hall Green will be easier for us as comapred to Acocks Green but we are thinking of bus, perhaps the private Johnsons service run by the parents, for the 1st year.
