Help with making sense of results please for 2017 entry

Post by Elizabeth40 »

Hi all,

Can anyone let me know if we have a chance for RHS based on the following results please?

NVR: 106.29
Num: 92.53
VR: 117.89

Total standardised score: 217
All girls: 357 out of 1327 same ranking 30
Girls Eastern Circle: 66 out of 347
All children Eastern Circle: 134 out of 721 same ranking 4

Thanks!

You live in the eastern circle.
Your DD has an excellent score.
Massive chance of getting into RHS...assuming you put this first on your CAF form!

Sorry, my earlier response was written in haste, and I am embarrassed by that response.

If you live in the eastern circle, one of the markers you need to look for is your DD's score against the AQS for previous years. All other things being equal the AQS seems to be reasonably static or might increase by a point each year.

Your DD's score this year is significantly greater than last years AQS so I think she will be well within the AQS this year and has every chance of RHS.

Hi again,

Can you give me more info regarding CAF form please? I don't believe that we have been sent this form.

Yes we are taking last years AQS of 205 as a marker and even with adding say a couple of points, DD should be clear of the AQS fingers crossed.

The CAF form is the common application form that you submit to WCC indicating your schools preferences.

You can register online and submit the form electronically. Have a look on the WCC website.

Hello,

We live in the priority circle 1 and we received our DS's results yesterday. He managed a score of 220. However, nothing in life is simple. Warwickshire County Council recorded his gender as female, so we are missing all the relevant data. We will of course be calling Admissions at 9am tomorrow morning, but having regard to his score, what are his chances of gaining a place at LSS, which we put down as his first preferred option?

Many thanks

Peardrops, I would say that living inside the priority area and with that score he is pretty much guaranteed a place at LSS
