Hi all,

Can anyone let me know if we have a chance for King Edward vi School Stratford upon Avon based on the following results please?

Standardised Score - 229.
provisional ranking out of all boys 278/1367.
No. of children in the same ranking-10
Provisional ranking out of the boys in southern grammar school circle-128/507
No. of children in the same ranking-7

KES Stratford has a PAN of 81. (Some of these places may be reserved for PP who might have a slightly lower score than others). Some of the boys with a higher rank than your son will opt for alternative schools, such as Alcester Grammar School, Bham GS or private, which will bring the last rank in down.

Whether it will bring it down as far as 128 is the unknown question. Basically you are relying on other people's choices and then, if it gets to your son's rank, it will come down to which of the 7 boys ranked 128 lives closest to the school. The only thing you can do is list it first on your CAF but make sure you have a school that you are happy with (eg Alcester Grammar) second, as this is more likely, and then a local comprehensive school that you are guaranteed a place in should be listed too.

Hi Avis. For KES the lowest rank out of south boys offered on 1st March national offers day last year was 106th.
