Details of Selection Tests on 4 october 2008

Post by Scurr1780 »

The leaflet on the 2008 selection tests has been published by WCC. It is stated that "each child will sit two papers, incorporating Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning, English and Maths. The tests have been designed specifically for Warwickshire by the University of Durham - Curriculum Evaluation and Management Centre (CEM). Each test paper will have approximately 100-125 questions to be completed in 45 minutes. University of Durham as a policy do not provide practice papers. In order to familiarise your child with the style of questions, an example sheet will be sent to you with the allocation to your test venue. This will not be a full paper".

Do you know if these questions will be multiple choice? Does anyone have experience of test papers set by CEM? Can you recommend any preparation material?

Thanks

I would look on the Birmingham site. Our exam for King Edward Foundation has been set by them for several years. I have posted what was in the exam this year under re: tests from some time ago.

Hope this helps,
