Help Needed - Your Suggestions Please?

Post by Snowdrops »

We are in the middle of preparations for our 'Leavers' Do' and things are coming along quite nicely.

One of the things we want to do is an awards presentation a la oscars (IYSWIM) and for that we are sending out a questionnaire (through the classroom) to all year 6, so they can nominate (without knowing what it's for) who, for instance, is the most kindest or who is the most funniest.

My problem is I only have ten questions and I need 14 (one award for each child).

We don't want questions such as who is the prettiest or cleverest and so far I have listed: friendliest, sporty, helpful, happy, smiliest, tidy, kindest, caring, creative and funniest.

Can anyone help with suggestions for the last 4 questions please?

Dear Snowdrops,

I agree with not including cleverest or prettiest but surely then the most sporty shouldn't be included as IMO it's in the same category. Think of the poor unsporty geek who cannot be praised for his intelligence but it's cool to be praised for sport. Ok, so it touched a nerve  but it's the popular kids who are celebrated for being sporty.

other suggestions (apologies if they're rubbish):

smartest (always wears uniform)
musical (unless that is viewed as clever or sporty too)
nature-loving? (this is hard!)

- Best team spirit (any team not just sports)
- most observant

oooh it's hard . . .

- could cheat and split sporty into sportiest girl / sportiest boy
- best giggle (i.e. most contagious)

I do take on board what you say Tipsy, and generally as a rule I'd agree, but I do know in this particular year they are all pretty even sports wise - some happen to play more than others, but their ability is neither outstanding nor poor.

I have added musical and changed least squeamish to brave (just so it goes with most).

Thanks for the suggestions so far, keep them coming 'cos I'm open to changing what I already have if a really great one comes up :D

We did think of making it best girl and best boy (less questions then!) but unfortunately it's an uneven mix 8:6 :(

Bravest (especially if they have been ill or had traumas)

Most organised (bag/time keeping etc)

Nice idea x
