Watch out J1 2 Go!
I started with festivals and gigs late in life but they are addictive

Now go regularly - take children but not old enough to be too embarrassed as yet.
Sadly, go on line to get tickets at opening time.
Should a 6 year old see Lady Gaga? If not, will need to rope in some unsuspecting person!
