PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL

SECONDARY SCHOOL ADMISSIONS – SEPTEMBER 2010

Thank you for applying on-line for a secondary school place for September 2010.

You will be able to confirm your initial secondary school offer via the on-line system on Friday 26 February 2010 from 8-00 pm (www.lancashire.gov.uk/e-admissions). You will need your original user name and password to access the system. The helpline number is 0845 0530030 if you cannot recall your username / password.

Offer letters will be sent to all applicants by first class post on 26 February 2009. These will include contact details for your Area Pupil Access Team and, where necessary, information about reserve (waiting) lists and appeals. If you require further information about your initial offer, you are advised to wait until you have received the letter prior to contacting the Area Pupil Access Team.

I don't have to wait till Monday!?!?!

I suspect that this might, just might, be the case in some other areas for online applications. After all, is an I.T. or Admissions person really going to sit up until midnight on Sunday just to press a button that enables parents to view their allocations from 00.01am precisely?

Good news for you though, Nathair!

I think they must use some sort of pre-set program as they literally come out on the dot at 12 midnight.

So is ours Milla, The website says
Offers of school places will be issued to all applicants on 1st March 2010.

I'm not sure why we will be able to see on Friday, afterall, isn't that kind of ignoring NATIONAL allocations day being 1st March? I'm not complaining though, it's 72 less hours of stress for me :)

Fab for you Nathair, if it's true, not being sceptical but have you called them to ensure that it is genuine? Would think it very odd if a county as big as Lancs can buck the 1st March trend..... very happy for you (and jealous ) if it is true..... wish Kent would do the same.

This would make it interesting if you get offered Skippy Girls - everyone else in North Yorkshire would have to wait until the 'official' day I'm sure (they are sooooooo mean at North Yorkshire CC    )

I'm just going to wait and see what happens on Friday and go from there. If it's legit, and I can see, you'll all be the second to know (After DH & DD :D ) and if it doesn't work then I'll just have to wait until Monday like everyone else. :P
