Hey all,
I just want to share a recent find of mine. The father of a 3 year old boy wrote his son an extremely moving letter about life and how to deal with it.
The website is:

http://club.backchina.com/main/viewthread.php?tid=793101&extra=page%3D2

Its a Chinese website but the letter is in English.

I hope you enjoy reading it and share it with your sons and daughters to read too.

Regards,
LQ

Lovely, and very moving.

Excellent and heart warming advice for anyone, child or adult.

Thank you for showing us this. :D

I've just looked at it with my daughter. They're very wise words. So true.

(We found the two smiley faces at the end rather sinister-looking though!)

:D I agree, not the most appropriate for the content!

It's a deeply considered and beautiful letter. I wonder why he wrote this letter to his 3 year old and when was he planning to give it to the child? I can't read the chinese characters and would be keen to know what the background of this is. Anyone can translate it?

The 11 plus site is mentioned further down! Now we are global.

From what I can make out, the webpage appears to be the result of a web search with tags such as pearls of wisdom, familial love etc.
I believe the letter originally comes from a Times Top 25 Blog by an American father of 6 though.
