Ours didn't appear home until about 5:30 on the first day because he went off to investigate the school library :roll: . As you can imagine we were slightly highly strung by the time he eventually staggered home with about 3 hundredweight of books in his rucksack, I was on the point of getting in the car to go and look for him.

Wow!! What brilliant advice & humorous replies :lol: :lol:

I'll be making notes of all advice given, mobile already decided as a definite!! When you're about to embark on new stages of DC's lives, it always seems to feel like you're the only one ever to go through it, somehow forgetting the millions of other's that do it everyday!!
Unfortunately, having just moved into the area, we don't know of any other children travelling from here as yet, but I realise that soon enough he'll start to recognise faces that do.
