First bras - help
DD has got to that age, 12+. Would like a trendy bra, brightly coloured straps or similar style. Where do people buy them? We looked at M&S but nothing in her size/colour preference, etc. She is approx. a 30A.

Next, new look, miss selfridge, primark and matalan depending on price. Bought my dd some lovely trendy coloured ones in primark for peanuts which had matching undies. Quality was quite good too. Got white for under school shirts also which were a bit (but not too lacy) So not too plain and boring for her.

tesco, asda and matalan all do a good range.
Re: First bras - help
I`m told La senza do some nice ones too
Re: First bras - help
When buying bras for the younger girls, just starting out, it's advisable not to buy underwired bras. It's to do with the tissue forming inside the breast (this was from an M&S fitter who measures dd when we buy her bras).
Debenhams also do nice first bras. You may find more in M&S on-line. I think they do the nicest ones.

I'm shocked I was allowed to get away with the word breast, thought it might have been censored!!
Re: First bras - help
DD (14) still hasn't made it to 'proper' bras yet but we have found the best crop tops to be in Gap (they go up to age 13+ and are 100% cotton) and M&S children's range - they do a set of 2 cotton ones for about £6, which are very pretty and comfortable too.
Re: First bras - help
Thank you everyone. DD is the only one at school without the necessary equipment and feels the need to conform. I did look in GAP but was unsure if they were suitable. Not being at the forefront of fashion has not helped me in my ability to fulfil this function.

there was an article in the Torygraph about this...........
