hi,

my dc decided to watch mi high on virgin media using "catch up tv on demand" and before the programme was played there was an advert. I checked on the iplayer by using the red button and the same thing happened again. But when I checked via the bbc website, the adverts are not there.

Can virgin media advertise before bbc programs in this way? I didn't think you could advertise on the bbc.

Has any one come across this before?

I would have thought if you were watching it on catch up through Virgin Media, then they can advertise what they like.

Watching it on iPlayer, through the BBC website, there wouldn't be any adverts (apart from those the BBC wish to put up of course - trailers etc).

Just my thoughts on it, I don't know for sure :D
