Now I've Heard Everything!!
I'm putting this here rather than down in the university section, because I think it will be seen by more people.
One of the other sites I go on (not an educational site - in that way) someone has just asked the question:
If taking a Mensa test will boost a student's UCAS points.?
Someone has answered:
I would have thought that the only advantage would be to 'enhance' the personal statement which is exactly what the Mensa website says in encouraging the sixth form punters to pop £15 to do their test and pay £45 sub (actually £25 if you are under 18).
and another:
I wish I could remember when my niece sat the MENSA test, whether before or after she went to .............
Does this really go on, is this what's it's come down to?
I don't know why I even bother to be shocked anymore, I really don't!

Re: Now I've Heard Everything!!
Is it really a good idea to put Mensa membership in a personal statement? Best keep quiet about it IMHO:
