Are you born brainy?

I like the way my friend has raised her daughter - she came over for a sleepover, then arranged the 'art corner' which is actually a dumping ground for everyone, especially DD. She was horrified at the junk we'd accumulated (she's not yet 9). Do you think her mum would mind if I got her working on the rest of the house?

And just so I don't get told off for going OT - I think nurture plays a huge part.

Born rubbish at lots of other things like sport, art and DIY.

And my eldest obviously bucks the trend - not at all motivated/focussed - in fact away with the fairies. No. 2 much more focussed and often stares at number one in absolute disbelief as she spouts various bits of rubbish.

Nurtured her to **** and back though to get her into grammar. Lucky them!

.....and push-pull-mum shouldn't worry about IQ tests - I completed one for a laugh at the same time as watching a particularly fascinating episode of brookside (perhaps that says it all). Someone was being psychotic or something. Anyway, my IQ was 104 apparently. But in another, highly useful psychometric test, apparently I scored higher than 95% of prison warders and 91% better than police officers. Highly relevant, as I'd applied for a post as something completely different.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it, what their IQs must be, though!!!

Rambling now... must remember to keep taking the tablets.....
