Urgh...! Going round in circles
Yesterday, spoke to the tax office with a query and after speaking to one lady who couldn't help me, got chatting to a nice helpful man. He concluded he didn't have all the info to help me so gave me an alternative number to ring.
Today, rang that number and spoke to another seemingly helpful man. He couldn't help me so gave me another number to ring.
Rang that number and spoke to a nice lady. She couldn't help me so gave me a number to ring. You've guessed it, it was the original number I rang.
I'm going to put my query in writing instead!
