Are your DCs schools closed on Thursday?

2/3 of mine will be off. Do you think town centres and cinemas everywhere will be overrun with unsupervised teenagers?

It's a no here for DD's primary and DS's secondary.

However, it's a sort of for DH's school. As it's predominantly boarders, staff will supervise boarders in the house and day pupils will be send home.

My DCren's school is closed and some of the local schools are half or a third closed. One primary school with 11 classes has only 1 teacher on strike so those 30 kids are off while everyone else has to come in. I have the day off anyway so I'm looking after a houseful (6 children aged 5 to 14.)

I've told them they have to work in the morning and I'll take them out after lunch.

My younger one's class, in the whole school, is closed because his teacher is the only one on strike! Oh I have to entertain him the whole day while he would ask me over and over again, when his older brother is coming back from school!!!

My school is closed to kids (majority of teachers are NUT) but those in other unions will be in.

DH's school - ditto.

DS's school - just 3 NUT members so school is open.

DD's school - some are in and some aren't. She has the day off but her best friend has to go in. DH and DD will be bonding, I believe.

I should probably have added, years 9 & 12 have to go in but not the other years. Those in year 9 & 12 are thrilled as you can imagine!!

Mine are on their Year 6 school trip to Wales. Luckily the teachers did the decent thing. I'm not sure if the rest of the school is on or off.
