I like the idea of a like button ....and also understand that liking something on facebook is not akin to divulging personal info, so don't have a problem.
Whatever the 'owners' think is a good idea is probably fine - the thing about posting on a forum is that your words are preserved forever ( or at least while code exists to interpret them) ....posting a link to facebook wont make the difference, really.
